Senator Anderson attends Women and Green Jobs Roundtable in Washington

Senator Ellen Anderson was invited to Washington D.C. this week to participate in a roundtable discussion about Women and Green Jobs. The discussion was hosted by the White House Council on Environmental Quality's Nancy Sutley and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis. As the only elected official in attendance, Senator Anderson discussed how the state's effort to define green jobs acts as a first step in aligning economic development and workforce programs. Secretary Solis expressed her appreciation and admiration for Minnesota’s work on green jobs and the ARRA clean energy money.
